Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis is a 2011 Spanish black comedy film directed by Santiago Segura. This is the fourth installment of the popular Torrente film series and was one of the highest grossing films of 2011. The film stars Santiago Segura as a criminal who is convicted of murder. The cast also includes Silvia Abril, Kiko Rivera, Belen Esteban, and Ana Obregon. The movie is set in a small town where two men are caught up in a mysterious crime.
The film's protagonist is a disgraced ex-cop named Jose Luis Torrente, a private dick hired by Ramirez, a porn shop worker and detective. Torrente's client, Julito, has a plan to find the porn shop owner. They work together, but Julito betrays them, and Ramirez is arrested. Torrente must save both the detective and the man in jail.
Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis is a return to the series that started with the first film. A low-life Spanish cop is once again tasked with solving crimes. This time, he takes on a dangerous criminal and uses his skills to solve crimes. He's a very good detective, but he's not always so great. Despite the low-level violence, Torrente is still a fun watch.
